Frequently Asked Questions

What class hitch do I need?

Hitch class depends on your towing needs. Class I (2,000 lbs) for light-duty. Class III (3,500-8,000 lbs) for mid-size trailers. Class IV (10,000+ lbs) for heavy-duty. Class V (16,000+ lbs) for the biggest loads. We'll match the right hitch to your vehicle's towing capacity and your trailer.

How much does a hitch install cost?

A receiver hitch with installation typically runs $200-$600 total. Gooseneck hitches are $400-$1,200 installed. Tow wiring harnesses add $100-$250. We quote everything upfront — no surprises.

Can I flat-tow my Jeep behind a motorhome?

Yes — most Wranglers and Gladiators with manual transfer cases are flat-tow capable. We install tow bars, base plates, wiring, and supplemental braking systems for a complete flat-tow setup. Some automatic models may need additional components.

What size winch do I need?

The standard recommendation is 1.5 times your vehicle's gross weight. A Wrangler (4,500-5,000 lbs GVWR) needs an 8,000-10,000 lb winch. A full-size truck (6,000-8,000 lbs GVWR) needs a 10,000-13,000 lb winch. Synthetic rope is lighter and safer than steel cable.

Do you install gooseneck hitches?

Yes. We install both above-bed and under-bed gooseneck hitches, including flip-over ball systems that hide below the bed floor when not in use. We also install companion 5th wheel adapters for maximum versatility.
